The categories are:

• Restoration:
  • Completed Schemes (including phases)
  • Planned Schemes (permitted but not yet completed)

• Biodiversity:
  • Landscape-scale (large-scale delivering bigger, better, more and joined habitats)
  • Planned (permitted but not yet commenced)
  • Innovation (addressing challenges or specific measures going above and beyond what is required)
  • Smaller sites (for sites less than 5 hectares in area) – new this year
  • Individual or group contribution (for outstanding work and contribution to wildlife)

MPA Restoration Awards Form

We want to encourage entries from as many companies as possible covering a range of different types of site and restoration schemes. 

We encourage you to consider if you have a site that you feel demonstrates good practice in terms of restoration – which may include both the process and outcome.

This year we are seeking entries for:

• Completed restoration schemes (including phases).
• Planned restoration schemes, that have permission but have not yet been delivered or completed, that demonstrate innovative and ambitious restoration and after-use.

Landscape Scale Biodiversity Category

This category is for schemes which are large-scale and deliver ‘bigger, better, more and joined’ habitats (the Lawton principles).

Planned Biodiversity Schemes Category

This category is for schemes which you are committed to, for example which have planning permission, but which have not yet been delivered or completed.

Innovation Category

This category is for schemes which apply innovative approaches to overcome challenges, go above and beyond requirements, or to deliver specific benefits for wildlife.

This category is for smaller sites (under 5 hectares) which are delivering biodiversity gains.

This category is for individuals or groups that make an outstanding contribution to biodiversity.
