It does not easily lend itself to meaningful quantification, but stakeholder engagement is a fundamental part of what MPA and its members do on a day-to-day basis.
Each of the headings in this report involves liaison with a wide range of stakeholders such as local communities, central and local government, public agencies, standards organisations, non-governmental organisations, customers and clients. These comprise meetings, seminars, conferences, a range of communications media and set-piece events throughout the UK. There is also increasing industry engagement in Europe - both directly and through European sector associations - and in some cases on a world-wide basis.
Communicating better with the wide range of audiences and organisations related to mineral products is a continuing objective for MPA.
