MPA response to OFT confirmation that industry markets have been referred to the Competition Commission for investigation

MPA notes the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) decision to refer the GB aggregates, ready-mixed concrete and cement markets to the Competition Commission for investigation and will continue to co-operate fully with the competition authorities, as we have to date. We hope the investigation is carried out without undue delay and does not impose excessive costs on our members whose markets are still operating 30% below pre recession levels.
